French Macarons

One of the many baked goods we wanted to tackle were the French Macarons.  There are so many possibilities when it comes to these little cookies.  They can be made in any color or flavor combination your little heart desires.  As this was one of our first times creating these delicate cookies we decided to keep it simple and just make the basic macaroon with chocolate ganache filling.  We used our God's (Martha Stewart) recipe. For our first attempt I think we did a great job.  Can't wait to tackle them again and try some different flavor combinations!
